I enjoyed The Final Discussion very much. I could expand my knowledge about China and England. My peer teaching partner is England. England team was ready to the game which was incorporated interesting information of England and some pictures. These were very fun, so we had a pleasant time as studying England. I also learned about China from Group Consolidation. I thought China has unique culture and custom.

I list things I thought interesting and surprising.

About England

○ England has only two seasons. (Summer and Winter)

○ Tree does not change the color because temperature goes down slowly.

○ The English are introverted and pessimistic.

○ The secret of coating when people fry fish is beer.

About China

○ Chinese likes red color.

○ Do not start to eat or drink prior to the host.

○ The following gifts and colors are associated with death and should not be given.

Clock, straw sandals, handkerchief, anything white, blue, black.

○ Do not drop the chopsticks. It is considered bad luck.

After The Final Discussion, I could get to new interesting knowledge for me

, so I want to go on studying!!

The country which we are in charge of is New Zealand. Mountains and forests are full. And what we learned about New Zealand is blessed naturally. When you go for a drive, you can look sheep everywhere. In Newzealand , they make grapes and make wines. A mountain, Mt.Cook is as tall as Mt.Fuji . As for the sports, rugby and cricket are prosperous. However, they do not play swimming and baseball. They dance to elevate their minds before a match of rugby begins. We learn Maori words in an elementary school. The most important point is that they are proud of their cultures of an their own country. The similar points in New Zealand, China, and the U.K. are below.

�B Elderly people are well-mannered, but young people are poor mannered.

�B When a guest comes, they must keep on time.

�C Women always take drinks for a meals.

�D An image of Japanese is sushi,sake,karaoke,and sumou.

�E They are very noisy.

That’s all.

Thus, We learned the most important thing that it is very important for human beings is keeping manner. I went to China this year, but I have dropped chopsticks many times. This accidents are understood For all Chinese that it is very misfortune for them to drop chopsticks in China. Therefore I thought that it was very important that I learned culture of a different country.

What I have created and learned about my country and myself.

I can see patriarrchy in chinese culture, for example, do not start at eat or drink prior at the host.  Anyway, China is too large!!  population is 20% of the world, area is 26 times as large as Japan.  It's difficult for me to understand that Chinese like red and don't like white, blue, black. I want to know why!

New Zealand was once under the imoerial control of United Kingdom, so I expect that culture in Zew Zealand is similar to the culture in United Kingdaom. Acually, it seems not to be exact. The only common point is individuality. People in England is introverted and pessimistic, I heard. Fish & chips are popular in England.

It's very interesng to learn culture differences know the origin.

Hello. We have finished the Group Consolidation today.

Our country is New Zealand, and the other countries are China and England. We thought there were some common characteristics in the three countries.

For example: they have similar images of Japan; Sushi, Sake, Sumo, and so on.

 All of the countries have dialects by area,

 The difference between the old people and young people (old people are more polite than young people), and so on.

 I thought they were very interesting.

 And we also found there were some characteristic that we thought only one country alone has.

For example: many Chinese people like red color,

British are always introverted and pessimistic,

England has only two seasons (summer and winter), and so on.

I thought all countries have various personalities justly, it was interesting, too. I thought it was important to know about my country and admit other countries’ characteristics. It is good way to have a good communications with other countries.

I enjoyed this opportunity very much, because I had never had such a good chance to know other countries. I could know there were many many characteristics that I did not know. I was interested in them, so I wanted to know more about countries. At once, I want to know more about my own country, Japan.   Thank you.
