Reflection
of JFishbowl " on May 11
(Central America) Yuriko Ishihara
I think it was a good practice. Japanese has a
tendency not to interrupt a speaker at the conference or a panel. However, this
time, you suggested us what question we should ask during Fishbowl practice. That
really encouraged us to do it.
We tried to listen to the presenter very carefully, so we
could have the chances to ask the person. If there wasn't any
suggestions, we might hesitate to interrupt.
On the other hand, we didn't know how long the
presentation would continue, so we worried about the timing to ask.. In case the presentation is shorter than we expect, we may
loose the chance to ask.. In addition, if we know the contents of the
presentation, we might be able to do better questions at better timing as a
practice .However, this practice will be the first
step for us to negotiate each other.
Thank you.
