To the second year students

Now I have finished English Teaching Methodologies 2 and 3. I wrote about my reflection, so I am glad if you refer to this.
First, we mainly studied some second language acquisition in English Teaching Methodologies 2. We used a textbook called Second Language Acquisition. The book was very difficult for me. You may not be able to understand all. But I think it's OK. I think the important thing is to understand outline. To do so, you will have to read the textbook before class.
You will teach English to elementary school students (Nakano Elementary School) again. You must know about this because you have finished English Teaching Methodologies 1. I think you had better have new ideas about lesson, for example games. If you have good ideas, please try them!
Second, we studied English Teaching methodologies and communicated with classmates and current teachers through our blogs. Also, we taught English to foreign people who don't speak English. We did them in English Teaching Methodologies 3. We often used blogs in this semester. Each member had a blog and commented each other. It was very useful because I could know many other's opinion. So you had better comment on other's blog as many as you can.
Finally, the classes were very meaningful for me. I want you to make good use of the class. If you have a question, please ask me. I hope you will do your best. Good luck!!!!

☆Explaining the kind of work in these courses
First, in English Methodologies Ⅱ(E.M.Ⅱ), roughly speaking, we learned "second Language Acquisition"(S.L.A). Then, we used book that was written by Rod Ellis. The book was very difficult, but as reading, we could notice that the content was very deeply and would be taught various methods of S.L.A. Also, we had to get to some points by reading book in assignment. And, in class we confirmed the answer. On the basis of E.M.Ⅱ, we could learn that how to understand S.L.A to the student.
While, in English Methodologies Ⅲ(E.M.Ⅲ), we could learn that how to teach S.L.A to the teacher. As basing on E.M.Ⅱ, we studied that whether how teaching methods suit students in reading, writing, listening, speaking. And, we practiced what we had learned. When we taught English to second language learner, we noticed that "Theory is one thing and Practice is another." So, the practice was very difficult than the theory we think. So, the practice was very important for my future.
To second year students
You will be able to experience many interesting things to teaching, learning. Then, you should be important to discuss other people. I thought many discussion will connect your faculty, broaden your horizons and understanding students.

A Message To The Second Year Students

I have finished English Teaching Methodologies Ⅱand Ⅲ.I have many reflecyion and success. First,about English Teaching Methodologies Ⅱ,We used a textbook written about Second language acquisition in this class.This textbook was little difficult for me, but it can be used from now on as teaching English scene.It was written many elements for English teaching.In the end of class,Mr.Hall gave us an assignment about contents on the textbook.It were few questions,it were easy and difficult.So I read the textbook as many as possible to the assignment.Second year students need reading ability ,should read the textbook many times.If you can't answer the questions,it is good idea to think with your friends.
Second, about English Teaching Methodologies Ⅲ,We learned English grammar mainly.We formed ourselves in groups of five or six.Each of groups gave English tuition to us practically. Sometime some guests came to this class and we teached them English grammar.Assignments about this class were the blogging tasks.It were own opinion and reflection about the class.It was first thing for me,it was surprised,but it was very interesting!!This assignment's deadline was early.Because it was used at the class.So it was hard for me to make an blogging task.I had a part-time job and my computer didn't connect to the Internet.So I had to do assignments at the school library.If you hesitate whether or not you connect your computer to the Internet,you should connect to the Internet.And I advise the second year students to do assignments early.
Anyway,there were many devices in the both classes.It were interesting and useful for me.And both classes were important to be a good English teacher.
Lastly,I want to say gratitude to Mr.Hall.There were many mistakes in my assignments.Thank you for reading my assignments.And I would like to you my deepest gratitude for teaching English to us!!(>_<)

 

A Message To the Second Year Students from M&M

Through English Teaching Methodologies Ⅱ and Ⅲ, I have learned many things. I am going to tell you, the second year students, about these courses.First, we studied second language acquisition theory in English Teaching Methodologies Ⅱ. We used the text book "Second Language Acquisition." This text is written in English, so it is difficult to understand whole substances perfectly. Actually, so did I. I think, however, the important thing is to try to know, and try to understand. To do this, all you have to do is to read again and again until you see the point. Reading is very important. However, You don't have to translate that into Japanese. This is not so important.Secondly, we have communicated with each other and teachers outside this class through "our blogs." I didn't know what the blog was before. However, thanks to this course, I did know that. It was very useful for us to communicate with other people. Because there are rarely such a opportunity, we tend to adhere to our own opinions. So, that is so important. However it is also important to have own opinions.Good luck, you guys!!!! This textbook is written about second language learners, the knack of learning second language, the process of learning second language and so on. These contents were very difficult for me to understand. Although I could not understand all things, I have guessed many things by myself and absorbed them. In taking this course, you will have to prepare for the next class. If you have a lot of time, you will had better do a review of the last class. Also I taught students of an elementary school (Nakano elementary school) English. This lesson was the second time for me. I made some groups and elaborated the lesson plan. I was worried about the lesson and nervous. However I thought that I could do my best and have a good experience. Maybe when you finish this course, you will have an opinion as me. So cheer up!!
In English Teaching Methodology Ⅲ, I learned how to teach English and communicate in the English classroom. I was very shy, so sometimes I felt nervous. But as I made some stages, I was accustomed to stand in front of the classmates and speak to them. This was very big change and a turning point for me. I taught a foreigner English. Then I prepared for the lesson hard, but I felt that teaching a foreign language was very difficult. My group's lesson was a lack of explanation and difficult to understand. So the learner was confused. I regret very much and I thought that I must learn a lot of things more!! Though I failed, I could find what I should do.
These courses are contained some difficulties but classmates will help if you are in trouble. So never give up!!! Good luck to you☆

In this these classes, English Teaching Methodologies II and III, we need to prepare for the class. For example, it's better to read and ubderstand the textbook before the class in English Teaching Methodologies II class. If you not , it's too hard to understand the class. Sometimes, I didn't prepare for the class and I regreted that because I couldn't understand. I had achance to go to Nakano elementary school and to teach Englsh. Before we taught, we were all nervous but after the class we felt so nice!!
In English Teaching Methodologies class, we need to write a blog out of the class. First of all, I was at a loss how to do because I never done before. Any way, if you really want to be a teacher, you may need to have knowledge of PC, I think. We taught the guests English in the classroom. We also have to prepare for the lesson. Thanks of that, we could understand how we should teach English.

On the whole, you SHOULD prepare for the class, or you'll get nothing in the class.

For 2 nen-sei

You have already studied the basis about English lesson in English Teaching Methodology 1. You are going to study the theory (in ETM2) and the practice (in ETM3).

In English Teaching Methodology3, we invited some guest and did many role-playing lesson as a group. And we made our own blog to do assighnments on the Internet. For example, we commented on group members "In your lesson, oooo was good!", "oooo was not so good." and so on. Or we wrote our opinion on it.

This activity is little difficult if you don't have your own computer but you don't have to worry. You can do it in CS or the library. And I recommend using "Windows" to you because "Mac OS" has trouble with a desighn of screen and it doesn't work well.

I should review many many technical terms. There are a lot of things to do this summer.
You have to memorize some new words and technical terms and you mustn't forget it, I think.

Message for sophomore.

Hello!! I' m going to finish 英語教育法３. I have a little bit I want to say.

First, time flows like a river, I think. It is so fast and no one can stop the flow. And no one can return it to the past too. So, I want to say "I should do now, What I can do now. I regret for not having studied hard...

Well, from these class(教育法１，２，３、）, I learned a lot of thing and had a valuable experience. Sometimes we went to 中野 elementary school to teach English to pupil as a group. These were very difficult but after over the class, I felt full feling and very fun and happiy.

And, We had chance to come in contact with a foreigner. And I experienced and perceive the difficulty of teaching to the person who doesn't know English entirely. I feel the greatness of teacher afresh(><) Finaliy, you should do subject. As you can see,to do the subject in this class , we have to use a computer.I had computer in my house,but not join to Internet.So, I did homework at the Library in University. It may be hard if you are very busy,{sometimes I couldn't do homework, sorry(T T)} , but if you have a mind to do homework, you can do that(^ ^ ) Don't be nervous. If you take this class, you can get a lot of thing before you didin't have. Try to do your best!!

To New Year Students

I have studied English Teaching Methodologies 2 and 3. You will study from 2 first. You will use textbook about acquiring Second Language. we could have known a lot of elements and processes about acquiring language. It was a little difficult for me. But I think if you do assightment regularly, it would make you help. So, you had better do assightment well.
3 was about how to teach English for students actually. Also, we used blogging to contribute . After the class, we contributed assightment and comment other member's blog. Individually, 3 was very interesting and effective for me. By activiting to teach in English textbook as a group, I could learn a lot of methodologies. We taught a foreigner who didn't know English, and contribute the result about good and improvement points in blog. By watching other member's blog, I could know each points and receive other advice. We haven't experienced to teach English well until now. So, I didn't teach well and regreted why I coudn't do well. But by watching other group teaching activity or blogging, I have become to know that it is very important to try to do best anything and imitate good point and improve bad point. Now I have a lot of methodologies. Also, I think I want to teach English for students.
Anyway, this class is very fun and neccesaly for becoming teacher. You may warry about teachingEnglish, but enjoy and try to do hard and best! You will know a lot of methodologies surely. That's my advice. Good luck New Year Students!!

 

To sophomore

In the other day, junior students were called the meeting by English teachers. We were said to have a clear purpose as junior students and study hard. So, I want to say to sophmore when you should do something, you had better make a studious effort, and then you will be able to have a various knowledges, speciall skills and briliant experiences. I reget studying without having a sense of studying.
Let's get off this subject. I want to say to introduce about English Teaching Methodlogics 2 and 3. First, 2 was about Second Lunguage Acquision by using a text book. This text book was difficult for me, but you will be able to know prgress of studying foreign language and many elements for teaching. Sometimes we went to Nakano elementary school to teach English. It was very interesting and fun for me.
3 was about how to teach English mainly. We teached classmembers and guests grammer, pronouceation and so on. Assingments were the blogging. By watching oter members opinion, it was very useful for me. I think 3 was more interesting than 2.
Lastly, if you take these classes, you can have a good time and experience.

A message to the second year students

I would like to write a message as we have finished English Teaching Methodologies II and III.

In English Teaching Methodology II, we used a textbook. The context of the book was very difficult to understand. So, if you have a time before class, it is better to do "skimming". Skimming means getting the main point or gist before one reads in detail. So, if you can just input some words by skimming before class, it is OK.
In English Teaching Methdology III, we made our own blogs and wrote our assignments on blogs. So if you have your own computer and if you can use internet with it, it is easy to do your assignments.

As you read this message, you may become serious. But this class will be great help when you become a English teacher. You can learn many methods of English teaching, and what was the best thing in this class was that we could enjoy speaking English with friends. The atmosphere was also good and exciting. I hope you can enjoy this class!!

 

To New Year Students!!!

I have learned about English Teaching Methodologies II and III for a year. In the II, we learned how to make a lesson and howto teach grammar. I was surprised that there are many tipes to teach. We could think how these methods are, and we could experience directly. And we had some lessons to teach English to some foreigners who don't know much English. I was so nervous, because we have never have such a experience which we teach English to foreigners. But, it was so useful, because other classmates gave us some advises and comments after lesson. Lesson became well gradually. I think that it ware so precious experiences for us. And, we could have some chances to talk with English teachers in another countries with using blog. Don't you think it is fun? You will change ideas and get new informations from them!!
In MethodologiesII, we learned how to get the secound language with using text. There are many difficults words, but I think that each words have very important means. So, you sould do your preparations before classes. And, we went to Nakano junior high school to teach English to students. I thought that it is fun to learn English with children. I hope that you think so. I got many many things through this classes to be a teacher.

☆To the second year stodents☆

Hello, the second year students!! Now i have finished English Teaching Methodologies Ⅱ and Ⅲ.So I would like yo explain the kind of works that you will have to do in these class and give some advices(^_^)

In the English Teaching Methodology Ⅱ, we used a textbook that all written in English. It was difficult for me and you will think so maybe. In this class, Mr.Hall gave us assignments before every class. The assignments consisted of some of questions. In order to answer them we need to read the textbook. Sometimes there will be some questions that you can't answer, but it is no ploblem! You will be able to have times for discuss with your group members in the next class. And Mr.Hall will give particular explanations for you. It may be difficult to understand all of the contents in the class.So I recommend you to read the contents again in the day if it were possible.
And you will have a good chance to teach English in this class. We went to the Nakano elementary school and taught English to the students. That will be a great experience for you!

Second, in English Teaching MetholodologyⅢ,we made own blogs and communicated with these blogs. First I didn't know "BLOG" ,so I was very confused to make it. If you were confused too, you could ask Mr.Hall or your friends how to do it. No ploblem!They will help you. If you got accustomed to using it, you would enjoy writting and reading them. I really enjoyed them!


And I would like to give you one more advice for you. I thought the second semester of Junior is very very busy.We had lots of reports and assignments everyweek, so it was hard to take times. So I reccomend you to do your assignments as fast as you can! If This week were busy, Next week might be more and more busy for you(>_<)
Anyway I could learn lots of things in these classes, and I enjoyed every class. I hope you will think so!! Good luck（＾０＾）☆☆
