Attendance Policy

 

Background:

Attendance has not been good in the first and second meeting; some people attended the first meeting but did not attend the second meeting. Some people attended the second meeting but did not attend the first meeting. This has made it difficult for MMCE to work well. So, today we need to decide an attendance policy. For group work to be successful, all the group members have to attend. If a particular group has members that are usually absent, the group ＷＩＬＬ NOT WORK WELL.

 

Here are two proposals:

Proposal 1

MMCE members cannot miss more than 2 meetings. If they miss a meeting, JH will record it. If they miss more than 2 meetings it will affect their grade. If members have to miss a meeting they should tell JH.

 

Proposal 2

If members miss a meeting, JH will not record it. However, approving this proposal means that members are promising their group that they will attend every meeting. They will only miss a meeting under extraordinary circumstances.
