I would not wish a trouble on me. So I don’t want to do anyting, someone else (the waiter) should do something in this case. I think it is the individualistic idea. I don’ t want other people to do anything which interrupt me. And the waiter must keep the good mood for guests.

I think that using e-mail is easy and fast but using paper letter is polite. Japanese sometimes like to write a letter by hand, because it seems to be filled with a zeal or a heart. It has been common sense in Japan, however it is changing now.
